Dr Aurèlien Auger

Aurèlien AugerDr. Aurélien Auger obtained his Bsc Honours in June 1999 from the University of Hertfordshire (UK), Msc. in September 2000 and Ph.D. in April 2004 from the University of East Anglia (UK) under the supervision of Prof. M.J. Cook where he developed some novel phthalocyanine derivatives for the PDT (Photodynamic Therapy) of cancer. In 2004, he then spent two years and a half (August 2004-February 2007) as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of the Free State (Bloemfontein, South Africa) with the research group of Prof. J.C. Swarts where he investigated the electrochemistry of multi-ferrocenylated porphyrins and phthalocyanine analogues. He joined the Universitad Complutense de Madrid the 1rst of March 2007. His research currently involves the development of nanomaterials (Molecularly Imprinted Polymers) for applications in sensors, catalysis and emerging technologies (NASCENT).
