Ievgen Obraztsov
Ievgen was born in 1982 in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, where he spent most of his life. From September 1999 till July 2004, he studied at the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology, Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. After his third year of his studies, he initiated his research work in the Department of Kinetics Research of the Institute of Electroplating and Chemistry of the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology.
After receiving the Master of Science in Chemistry degree in July 2004, he worked as a researcher in the Institute of Electroplating and Chemistry under supervision of Professor Felix Danilov. The subject of his research work was related to adsorption of organic substances on iron and steel in both neutral and acid solutions as well as development of inhibiting polymer composites for protection against short-term corrosion of steel. Results of his work were published in two feature articles.
Since November 2006, he has been working as a research assistant at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland, being trained in experimental techniques used for physico-chemical characterisation of thin films, within the NASCENT Network.
